The Surrounding Area There are several very good pubs and restaurants close by, whilst High Street shopping facilities are available in Lowestoft. The Marina Theatre hosts live productions all year and is currently home to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ferini Art Gallery with its changing exhibitions is opposite the house. Our position on the Sunrise Coast offers plenty for the visitor to see and do including walking, bird watching, swimming and sightseeing. The fashionable seaside town of Southwold is a short drive away, together with Aldeburgh and the internationally renowned concert hall at Snape. Also nearby is the R.S.P.B. reserve at Minsmere. Bay House's location makes it an ideal place to stay for exploring the North Norfolk coast. The major towns of Ipswich and Norwich are approximately one hour’s drive from the house. Easy access from the A12 makes Bay House ideal for visitors to the CEFAS laboratory or the many other businesses in the area.
